QV is supporting National Eczema Awareness Week

17TH-25TH SEPTEMBER 2016

Dry or sensitive skin conditions like atopic eczema are really common, affecting 1 in 5 children and 1 in 12 adults in the UK.1 Atopic refers to a group of diseases with an often inherited tendency to develop other allergic conditions such as asthma and hay fever². Some people will have the condition on and off for their entire life, but many children grow out of it before secondary school age3.

Nobody really knows the exact cause of eczema, but many sufferers are aware of certain triggers that seem to cause flare-ups. These can include anything from eating certain foods, getting stressed, or exposure to animals, dust or heat. Certain soaps and detergents can also be a catalyst for the itch-scratch cycle4.

Experts agree that a programme of total emollient therapy is one of the best ways to relieve discomfort and manage flare-ups caused by eczema5.This means applying eczema creams like QV every day as part of your daily routine.

Health care professionals continue to play a critical role in educating the public about dry skin conditions. That’s why we’re supporting HCP’s this National Eczema Week by providing FREE educational packs. These packs can help to run events to help educate and offer guidance to parents and adults who suffer from Eczema, Psoriasis, Dermatitis and other dry skin conditions.

In the QV awareness packs, you’ll find everything you need to host your own event, including leaflets, posters, bunting flags, balloons, pens, and A3 posters to help parents with compliance.

To get your hands on a pack contact your local Crawford Healthcare Territory Business Manager, contact us through http://www.qvskincare.co.uk/contact-us/ or email info@crawfordpharma.com
